Rebecca Schaper, DIRECTOR & EXECUTIVE PRODUCER,is a world traveler and longtime nature photographer. A SISTER’S CALL is her first endeavor into the world of film. In 2000, Rebecca bought a video camera and started filming the struggles of her mentally ill brother Call. Now after ten years, she is bringing that incredible journey to the world.
Kyle Tekiela, DIRECTOR & EDITOR, is a young visionary who believes in the strength of the story. At age 19 he became a producer for the highly decorated PBS Documentary program alt.news 26:46 writing, shooting and editing creative short form documentaries on everything from Bed Bugs to Muscular Dystrophy. By the time he left in 2007, Kyle had taken home 5 regional Emmys and a Hugo Award for his work as Executive Producer, Editor and Graphic Designer. Over the past 4 years, Kyle has produced and edited multiple commercials and promos for national TV networks and companies including CNN, TNT, TBS, Nationwide Insurance, Carlsberg Beer and the United States Marine Corps.
A SISTER’S CALL is Mr. Tekiela’s first Feature length documentary.
Jeremiah Zagar, Cinematographer, is an award-winning filmmaker born and raised in South Philadelphia. At age 19, he directed Delhi House, a documentary about a hospital and orphanage in India. The short premiered at the 2002 Slamdance Film Festival and aired on PBS affiliates across the country. Since then, Zagar has made four more short films: The Unbelievable Truth, Baby Eat Baby, Coney Island, 1945 andPaints on Ceiling. They have screened in numerous festivals in the US and abroad, including Tribeca, SXSW and the London Film Festival.
His newest film, the documentary “In A Dream” has played in festivals all over the country and was nomitated for a 2010 Emmy Award for Best Documentary.
Senain Kheshgi, Cinematographer, is a Peabody Award-winning producer and director. Her credits include Associate Producer for Hoover Street Revival (2002), The First Year (2001) and Teach (2001). Kheshgi has served on the board of Indians in American Media and ArtWallah, the premiere South Asian Arts Festival in the United States, where she curated the film program for four years. In 2008 she premiered her acclaimed feature documentary Project Kashmir.
Kenneth Lovell, Audio Composer & Mixer, is a composer, sound designer and multi-instrumentalist based in Atlanta, GA. He has composed and produced music for many different kinds of media, and across various genres. He has worked with Disney, CNN International, Turner Network Television and many others to create compelling sound scapes, bringing every production to life through his music and sound design. Peter Miller, Consulting Producer, directed and produced the award-winning documentaries A CLASS APART, which aired on the PBS series AMERICAN EXPERIENCE; SACCO AND VANZETTI, released nationally in theaters in 2007; and THE INTERNATIONALE, shown on PBS and screened at over thirty film festivals. He has been a producer on numerous documentaries by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, including the epic PBS series THE WAR and JAZZ, as well as the Peabody Award-winning FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT. Peter has also been a producer on many other acclaimed documentaries, including THE UPRISING OF ’34, PASSIN’ IT ON (winner of twenty film festival prizes), and the Academy Award-winning AMERICAN DREAM. His latest film is JEWS AND BASEBALL: AN AMERICAN LOVE STORY, was released in June 2010.

Gordon Quinn, Editorial Consultant, as the Artistic Director and founding member of Kartemquin Films, Gordon has been making documentaries for over 40 years. Kartemquin’s best known film, Hoop Dreams (1994), executive produced by Gordon, was released theatrically to unprecedented critical acclaim. Other films under Gordon’s belt include Vietnam, Long Time Coming, Golub, 5 Girls, Refrigerator Mothers, Stevie, Mapping Stem Cell Research: Terra Incognita, The New Americans, Milking the Rhino, At The Death House Door, and recently the award winning doc The Interrupters.
